FOREST PARK APARTMENTS

The Forest Park Apartments is a historic renovation and adaptive reuse of the original Forest Park Hotel. Originally constructed in 1923 with an addition in 1926 the hotel was a popular destination in the Central West End St. Louis. The building originally incorporated a combination of apartments, hotel rooms and commercial space.

After being vacant for many years the building was adapted to 115 market rate apartments with commercial space available on the first floor. The historical renovation included maintaining the original corridor configuration and location on the second through seventh floors and reviving the historic lobby and period rooms on the first floor. The main entry of the building had been changed over time and was reconstructed to be consistent with the original design. The original exterior masonry features of the building were restored to their original appearance.
