FRISCO STATION APARTMENTS

The Frisco Station Apartments is a historic renovation and adaptive reuse of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad (Frisco) Building at 610 Main Street in Joplin.  The eight story building was originally leased to the railroad in 1913. The building remained the location of the railroad's depot until 1955.  In 1987 the building's last tenant left ending the building's role as commercial space for Joplin's prominent professionals and businesses.

After standing vacant for fifteen years the building was adapted to fifty seven affordable senior housing apartments with major emphasis on the renovation of the historic lobby, maintaining the original corridor location and storefronts on the upper floors and the building's exterior to keep the building's original character.
