Historic renovation and adaptive reuse to apartments
Originally constructed in 1902 & 1922 for the International Shoe Company, this 5 story heavy timber building stretches over 450 feet in length. The entire 148,000 square foot building complex had remained largely unaltered as a manufacturing facility prior to this renovation project.
With over 20 different loft style floor plans, this 115 unit apartment project was designed to highlight the massive & repetitive heavy timber structure, brick walls and large windows. Amenities incorporated into the overall renovation scope include an entry lobby, leasing office, fitness center and club room.
